§ 13-9-1. Definitions.

The following words and phrases, as used in this article, unless a different meaning is plainly required by the context, shall have the following meanings:

Benefit plan shall mean the city employees' benefit plan, established by article VIII of this chapter.

Board shall mean the governing board of the city employees' benefit plan as established by article VIII of this chapter.

Member shall mean any person included in the membership of the protection plan.

Protection plan shall mean the group life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance protection plan afforded by this article.
