§ 13-8-17. Assignments prohibited.

  • The right of a person to any benefit or any other right accrued or accruing to any person under the provision of this article shall be unassignable and shall not be subject to execution, garnishment, attachment, the operation of bankruptcy or insolvency law, or any other process of law whatsoever, except as is specifically provided by the provisions of this amendment; provided, however, that the city shall have the right of set off for any claim due the city from a member.
