§ 18-1-7. Custody of funds belonging to board of water commissioners.
(a)
The city treasurer shall be custodian of all money received by or belonging to the board of water commissioners of the city.
(b)
As such custodian, he shall pay out no money except in pursuance of law and on a warrant signed by the finance director, which shall specify the purpose on account of which payment is to be made.
(c)
As such custodian he shall require that all money received by or belonging to the board of water commissioners be deposited with him daily, and is authorized to accept, as a cash deposit, a certified deposit slip issued by any city depository evidencing the deposit by the board of water commissioners of money by such depository, to be held for the city treasurer as such custodian.
(d)
As such custodian he shall have the provisions of all given bonds by him as city treasurer extend to money entrusted to him as such custodian.
