§ 18-12-2. Same—Certain money and credits to be credited to fund.

  • All money and credits appropriated for capital cost improvements, except as provided in this section, shall hereafter be credited to the public improvement reserve fund, and such money and credits accumulated in such fund shall not be transferred, encumbered or otherwise disposed of except for the purpose of acquiring, extending, altering, enlarging or repairing such capital cost public improvements. Such other money, credits and miscellaneous revenue as are not otherwise pledged, appropriated or encumbered may be authorized to be transferred and credited to such fund by resolution of the city council; provided, that money and credits appropriated for capital cost improvements from revenues, the use of which is restricted by statute, ordinance or Charter to special purposes shall not be credited to the public improvement reserve fund; provided further, that capital cost appropriations for equipment shall not be credited to such fund, but to the fund and purpose for which the same was raised or appropriated.
