§ 31-1-7. Sales restricted.

  • (a)

    Stall renters shall be allowed to sell on the public markets those products which have been approved by the Market Manager including, but not limited to, wholesome fresh, canned, dried or prepared food products and certain other products of the farm, garden, greenhouse, apiary or of the forest, such as poultry, domesticated rabbits, flowers, plants, nuts, herbs, hay, straw, Christmas trees and greens, provided, that in so doing, they shall comply with all the provisions of this Code and other rules and regulations relating thereto, provided further, that all live poultry, rabbits and other animals authorized for sale on the market shall be confined in approved crates.

    (b)

    Merchandise or goods of other nature including, but not limited to, clothing, jewelry, small electronics, books, and crafts, which shall be approved by the Market Manager, and may be sold by producers, street vendors, merchants or other persons in specifically designated market district areas. The sellers of such merchandise or goods shall comply with all the provisions of this Code and other rules and regulations relating thereto.
