§ 56-3-35. Sewage receiving fund refunds and credits.

When a proportional share of a regular sewer assessment has been paid by platted or unplatted properties having an existing temporary sewer connection in accordance with section 56-3-34 or, when an existing temporary connection is abandoned and bulkheaded in accordance with the requirements of the water and sewerage department, the sum previously paid into the sewerage receiving fund for the temporary connection shall be refunded upon the request of the owner of record. If an existing temporary sewer connection is abandoned and/or replaced by a new and larger connection, the current cost, as determined by the director, of a sewer connection comparable in size to the abandoned and replaced connection, shall be credited to the cost of the new and larger connection.
