§ 58-5-6. Qualifications for renters.

Licensees under this article shall:

(1)

Not rent to anyone under eighteen (18) years of age until receipt of an acknowledgment in writing, signed by either parent of the applicant or the applicant's legal guardian, in the presence of and witnessed by the licensee or his duly authorized agent, to the effect that permission is granted for the applicant to use the vehicle and that such parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for all acts or actions of the applicant in the use of the vehicle so rented or leased;

(2)

Rent vehicles only to persons who have and can show a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
