§ 42-1-13. Bond required of persons constructing lines of wires, etc.
No permit authorized by this article shall become operative and authorize the construction of any line of wires above ground or the laying of any conduits until the person to whom the same may be granted shall have filed with the finance director a satisfactory bond, to be approved by the finance director, in the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00), conditioned that the person to whom such permit is granted will faithfully comply with and perform the terms and conditions of this chapter and other city ordinances relating to the construction of such wires, and such person shall also have deposited and shall keep on deposit with the city treasurer the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) to cover the expense of replacing of the earth in making the repairs to pavements required to be relaid by such person under the provisions of this chapter and as a guarantee for the prompt payment of any bills for such work presented by the environmental protection and maintenance department. Such deposit shall be maintained in the minimum amount of two hundred dollars ($200.00), and on failure to keep the same in such minimum amount, the permit shall become void.
