§ 49-3-2. Daily report to the police.

  • Each dealer licensed under this article shall, within forty-eight (48) hours after receiving or purchasing an article, send a copy of the record of transaction form to the chief of police or his authorized representative. The record of transaction forms of a licensee and each article received shall be open to an inspection by the police department at all times during the ordinary business hours of the licensee. As a condition of doing business, a licensee is deemed to have given consent to the inspection prescribed by this article. The record of each transaction shall be numbered consecutively, commencing with the number one and the calendar year. No entry in such record of transaction shall be erased, obliterated, altered or defaced.
